Bong Messages is formed in 96 from the fusion between David Lemestre (also the sound engineer of psycadelic band AUM) and Omar Vaiana (ex keyboard wizard and percus of AUM). All both are adepts of new tech and actual music. Non stop remixing their tracks to achieve an eclectic catalog including dub, drum'n'bass, techno, world music and samples. Their fusion of styles and their out of control live performance gave them a good reputation on the belgian scene and also abroad. They've played in Aeronef (Lille, France) for the 1st Nord Digital. At the same time they met Zion Train (UK) and their very good Universal Egg label. As result, the track " Vibes 23 " on their compilation " The Egg Files " with Mad Professor, Ruts DC, Power Steppers, Zion Train... Bong Messages played both belgian dates (Hof ter Lo and Magasin4) for the European Universal Egg tour. In the same time their " First Bong " was released on the German label TP9 and received good reactions on the specialised German press (6 stars, the max, on Rave Line magazine, 600.000 issues etc...). The belgian press follows also the evolution of Bong Messages in national, specialised or local papers in french and dutch. We're expecting their new release more groooooooove according to the band.
Something we have already seen in Dour festival 98 where they've played in front of near 2,000 enthusiastic people. The future seems positive owing to their next date on sep14 at festival Nuits du Botanique in Brussels as support act of Jacky Liebeszeit (CAN)'s new project called Club of Chaos.
